Who We Are

A: No — we’re not the DMV or the county Tax Collector’s office. Boca Auto Tag & Title is a private tag and title courier based in Boca Raton. We prepare your paperwork and file it with the local Tax Collector on your behalf. Important: we do not process transactions on the same day, print titles, or issue plates on site — all filings are completed through the Tax Collector’s office.

A: No, we don’t handle Florida driver’s licenses, ID cards, or written/road tests. Those services can only be done directly through the Florida DMV or your local county Tax Collector’s office.

A: No. We focus on Florida-only registered vehicles, trailers, boats, and specialty transfers. For IRP inquiries, contact the Florida DMV.

Our Process

A:  We make the title and registration process straightforward:

  1. You provide us with your documents—we’ll tell you exactly what’s needed.
  2. We review, prepare, and double-check all the forms so everything is accurate before submission.
  3. We act as your representative at the local County Tax Collector, filing the application on your behalf.
  4. Once completed, we arrange pickup at our office or secure FedEx delivery back to you.

Think of us as your representative—handling the details so you don’t have to juggle appointments or struggle with the paperwork.

A:  It depends on your application. Once we review your request, we’ll tell you exactly what to bring. In most cases, like for title applications, that includes:

  • The original title
  • A copy of your driver’s license
  • Proof of Florida insurance
  • Mileage and sale price (if applicable)

We’ll guide you step by step and provide a clear checklist before processing.

A: Yes, we do charge a service fee in addition to the state’s registration or title fees. That fee covers the time and expertise it takes for us to handle the paperwork correctly and file it for you—saving you the stress of appointments and extra trips to the DMV.

A:  Most applications take about 10 business days for the Tax Collector to process. Timing can vary depending on the complexity of your transaction, whether additional documents are needed, or if multiple applications or corrections are required. We are not an expediting service. If your situation is time-sensitive, you should contact the DMV or Tax Collector directly.

A: Not at all. In addition to passenger vehicles, we regularly process titles and registrations for trailers, vessels (boats), motorcycles, and mobile homes.  If you have questions about a particular type of vehicle, we encourage you to contact us by email to confirm what services are available.

Why Choose Us

A: The DMV and Tax Collector can be confusing and time-consuming. We’ve been doing this since 1986, so we know how to navigate the process efficiently and accurately. Think of us as your paperwork partner — no lines, no confusing appointments, no guessing, no wasted time.

A: While many of our clients are private vehicle owners, Boca Auto Tag & Title also supports a variety of people and businesses, including:

  • Small Business Owners – Keeping work trucks, trailers, and company vehicles compliant.

  • Personal Assistants & Office Managers – Handling paperwork for busy professionals and families.

  • Small Commercial Fleets – Streamlining renewals and registrations for multiple vehicles.

  • Law Firms & Attorneys – Supporting estate, probate, and corporate title transfers.

  • Individuals or Businesses Relocating to Florida – Managing title and registration transfers for out-of-state moves.

Serving Clients Near &Far

A: Absolutely. If you’re moving to Florida with a vehicle, trailer, or boat, we’ll prepare everything needed to register and title it in Florida. We only process Florida transactions, so if you need to transfer a title to another state, you’ll need to work directly with that state’s DMV.

A: Not necessarily — many clients choose to complete the process remotely. Remote processing involves an initial document upload and review, mailing original signed documents to our office, and then mailing them back out once the application is complete. Because of these steps, it generally takes longer than visiting in person. This option remains available for clients who are unable to visit our office directly.

A: Yes. We’re based in Boca Raton, but we also help clients across Florida — and even out of state — using secure FedEx shipping and remote support.

A:  A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) verification is a physical inspection of your vehicle’s VIN to confirm that it matches the number listed on the title and registration documents. Florida requires VIN verifications in certain situations—such as when a vehicle is brought into Florida from out of state—to help prevent fraud, theft, and clerical errors. This process ensures the vehicle’s identity is properly documented before registration.  For clients unable to bring their vehicle to our office, VIN verifications can also be performed by any Florida notary public, as well as law enforcement or military personnel in any state. You can download the Florida VIN verification form here.
